For many years Isobel has worked tirelessly raising money for Multiple Sclorosis (MS) Research: baking, making jam, knitting and sewing novelties for sale, as well as organising numerous fund-raising activities in Ballater, the small Scottish village where she lives.
Since one of her daughters was diagnosed with MS, Isobel has raised over £40,000 for this charity.

Last year she saw people “Wing-Walking” as part of the Emmerdale Extravaganza Charity Event and was determined that she could do that to raise money for MS. She will turn eighty just over a week before this year's event and has in fact been a great-grandmother for several years, but refuses to "act her age" or slow down. Her family tried but failed to dissuade her, but we have been assured that she’ll be well tied on and she’s all set for her flight at this year’s P & J / Emmerdale Event on the 9th June.


This year's Emmerdale Extravaganza will raise money for local charities and as part of this event, Isobel's Wing-Walk sponsorships first £1,500 has to be guaranteed to the event organisers for these charities. I am confident, however, that this will be more than covered by local business corporate sponsorship so that all individual sponsorship will go towards Isobel's efforts for MS Research.
